If you're looking to spice up your usual iced coffee, but don't want anything too sugary, this is the recipe you need!
It's super simple, but adds a twist to generic iced coffee and milk, which, don't get me wrong is great sometimes, so is black, but I definitely like to mix it up!
This recipe is only 3 ingredients, takes minutes to prepare, and can still be deemed healthy for you! It's only lightly sweetened with dates, but off course if you wanted something sweeter, you could add maple syrup, sugar, stevia, or any other sweetener of choice.
RECIPE
Ingredients
2 cups milk of choice (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
3 chai tea bags
2 dates
Instructions
Add almond milk and dates to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, remove from heat and add tea bags.
Steep 3-5 minutes, then remove tea bags, squeezing out any remaining liquid from the bags.
Add milk and dates to a blender and blend for 10-15 seconds.
Strain milk into a glass storage container to remove date pieces.
Store in the fridge up to 7 days (but, I'm betting it will be gone before then!)
Enjoy over iced coffee! (Could also be used in hot coffee)
