The perfect mix of foam, creaminess, and sweetness.
Ingredients:
1.5 cups brewed coffee
1/4-1/2 unsweetened vanilla coconut almond milk (or any kind of milk you can tolerate)
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp coconut butter
1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)
1/4 tsp maple extract
1 drop English toffee stevia
Why all of these ingredients?
Coconut almond milk, coconut oil, and coconut butter:
Fats from coconut are anti-inflammatory, metabolism boosting (but not too much!), and beneficial for the brain.
I like the coconut almond milk for flavor and its fatty acid profile, but you could use any kind of milk!
Coconut oil adds healthy fats, creaminess, and frothiness.
Coconut butter adds healthy fats, some fiber not present in coconut oil, and some sweetness.
Maca powder:
Hormone balance and boosting energy.
Adds a slightly different flavor. Some people don't like the taste of maca, but I personally love it.
Collagen peptides:
Collagen, which is a type of protein used in the body, has many benefits.
Supplemental collagen is primarily used to help repair and grow our intestinal lining, skin, hair, nails, and joints.
Our bodies do make collagen (which is why nutrients like Vitamin C are important--Vitamin C is a key component in collagen production), but some find it beneficial to supplement as well.
Adds protein, creaminess, and frothiness to the latte.
Instructions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender.
2. Blend on high until well-combined and foamy.
